Technology

bullet

General I use the latest digital technology to provide fast, cost effective solutions for modern photography.  This means that you will normally be able to see, discuss, and hopefully choose, the pictures that you like immediately after taking, by means of a slideshow display on a laptop computer.  We can retake any that you do not like, change backgrounds in commercial applications, and for portraits maybe even edit out those annoying little blemishes- like a spot on Dad's tie, or that unwanted pimple on your teenager! .

Cameras   I have an extensive collection of Canon equipment  and lenses and  most of my work is taken with a Canon DSLR

Prints  My prints are mostly made from digital files onto archival matte paper.    I make high quality prints using the latest A"2photographic inkjet printer. These prints should last for around 100 years before any significant fading is seen and  have better stability than normal chemical prints which are only rated for about 50 years.

Black&White, Sepia, or Colour   It's all the same- it's so easy digitally to provide whatever you would like!  Personally I do like the "timeless" quality of a good black and white, or maybe slightly sepia tinted, portrait, but I know that there are also many who want them all in colour.  Why not have a mixture of styles.
